Volunteer: 12/6/2025-12/7/2025 Authority Ambassadors Needed for Vasona Lake's Fantasy of LightsCome represent the Authority at Santa Clara County Park's annual Fantasy of Lights celebration on December 6th and 7th, from 4-9 p.m. Share your love of open space preserves, winter wildlife and upcoming educational activities with visitors at the Authority's booth! Fantasy of Lights is a 1.5-mile one-way trail of large, animated displays in a County Park for the whole month of December. The event is split into two: 1) Walk-thru (two days only) and 2) Drive-thru experience (for the rest of December). The Walk-thru event is held on the 1st weekend of December where families can pre-purchase tickets to stroll through the park with the addition of food trucks, a DJ, Santa Claus photo opportunities, and other entertainment. County Parks will be providing a table, canopy and chairs and Authority volunteers will only need to bring an outreach kit (to be picked up in the week prior to this event). Volunteers carrying supplies will be able to drive up to the booth space (before 3 pm.) to drop off items and park in a designated space. Breakdown will happen promptly at 9 pm. We are advertising for three volunteers per evening so that each person has opportunities to take breaks and enjoy the festival. All details will be confirmed the week leading up to the event. We'd love to have you there! We recommend bringing a lunch/dinner plus snacks, water and layers as the evening gets chilly!
