TM Volunteer support request for the Furtado Barn restoration site at Sierra Vista OSP.

Please arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. and park in the main staging area.  Space for 4 volunteers. Volunteer Trail Masters should bring all PPE. Please bring all needed water and calories for a safe day with the team.

We will be supporting our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) goals and brushing back key areas of the restoration site.

TM Volunteer support request for this day of invasive species maintenance. The crew will be removing coyote brush to make room for other natives to grow as well as removing some non-natives plants at the sites.

The meeting point for the day can be accessed by using these coordinates for navigation, "37.18314, -121.7300"

From Bailey Avenue, heading south on Santa Teresa Boulevard, turn right onto Richmond Rd. Look for David Mauk and his agency vehicle, where we will park our vehicles.

There are 10 native planting areas within a larger enclosure along ¾ miles of Fisher's Creek at the Kuzia property's restoration site, shown above. To maintain the site OSA will weed-eat the inside of the enclosure with staff and volunteers. There are oak and willow seedlings scattered throughout the enclosure in their own plant cages to look out for, but other than that the whole area is in need of attention. 

Trail Master support request to help with seasonal maintenance of North Coyote Valley along Santa Teresa Boulevard. 

Attending volunteers should meet staff on the dam at Laguna Seca, located beyond the quail gate, NCO3, off Santa Teresa Blvd. Pack hi-vis vests to wear on this work day.

Trail Master support request to help with seasonal maintenance of North Coyote Valley near the innersection of Santa Teresa Blvd and Bailey Avenue.

Attending volunteers should meet staff on the dam at Laguna Seca, located beyond the quail gate, NCO3, off Santa Teresa Blvd. Pack hi-vis vests to wear on this work day.

All volunteers who sign up should meet staff in the Sierra Vista OSP staging area. Due to travel time, this work day begins at 9am and ends at 2pm. Volunteer Trail Masters are asked to bring all needed water and calories for a safe day with the team.

Please arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. and park in the main staging area. TM Volunteers will depart from there with staff for the day. Staff lead will provide instruction and support on where our efforts are directed.

Volunteer Trail Masters should bring all PPE.

Due to travel time to the work site, this Trail Master day begins at 9am and ends at 2pm. Volunteer Trail Masters are asked to bring all needed water and calories for a safe day with the team.

TM Volunteer request for up to eight Trail Master volunteers to help with this day of field work. We will using weed whips to address the riparian zone and road corridor area. Trail Master volunteers should pack their provided hi-vis vest for both days.

For first time visitors to this preserve, the drive time is approximately 30 to 40 minutes on rural roads, plan accordingly so you can drive safely and arrive on time. 

9:00 a.m. meetup at 6280 Canada Rd. Gilroy, CA 95020. The main gate is near to the cattle corral and large burnt Eucalyptus trees. Look for the Authority vehicles.
