Community Outreach

We are agency ambassadors who represent the Open Space Authority at community festivals and other public events. We help build relationships amongst all members of our community and we bring input back to the organization from the events we attend.

Community Outreach Volunteers engage diverse members of the public at community events throughout Santa Clara Valley. They raise awareness for our mission, campaigns, and calls-to-action. Community Outreach Volunteers learn to ask great questions and listen to the answers from the public. They enjoy connecting the public to upcoming stewardship events and educational programs. These volunteers wear a smile, a name tag, and are quick to welcome all visitors to our booth.

Requirements

• Interpretive Host Training (offered quarterly) 
• Community Outreach Volunteers must be at least 18 years or older.
  
• Livescan Fingerprinting (at no cost to volunteer)
