Description we sent to the public:
You don’t need to wait until spring to see California wildflowers. Many wildflowers and blossoms emerge during winter and may be gone by spring. Open Space Authority docents will show you the ones in bloom and also identify many other plants to let you know when they may bloom. The 5-mile round trip hike will have a gentle 700-foot gain and a lunch stop midway through. Heavy rain will cancel but the hike will take place with light mist rain. Also be prepared for occasional muddy conditions in spots. Park in the overflow lot about ¼ mile past the main lot on the left.
