The Authority has been invited by the City of Sunnyvale to their 2025 Earth Day Festival! We are seeking two volunteer ambassadors to represent us at this new event!
Here is the event description from the organizers:
"The theme for Earth Day is Empowering Sunnyvale. We are anticipating having ~1,000 attendees! Our goal is to educate the community about the importance of individual impact and provide resources to drive meaningful change. Empowering Our Community one of the key strategies identified in Sunnyvale’s Climate Action Playbook and Game Plan 2028, our City’s plan to reduce carbon emissions. Our Earth Day events are a great opportunity to empower our residents to take action through education and awareness. Sunnyvale residents will benefit from learning about Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority and participating in an activity and/or giveaway focused on how your organization can be a resource to our community members. Providing information about conserving the natural environment, protecting open spaces and nature based solutions to climate change would be a great area of focus. Join us to make an impact!"
Staff will coordinate with volunteers to transport outreach items for the event; this includes a small canopy, table/chairs and an outreach kit.
