The Authority has been invited by the City of Santa Clara to their annual Arbor Day celebration! We are seeking 3 enthusiastic volunteers to come represent us at this fantastic event. Here is the event description:
"The City of Santa Clara is excited to invite you to our Earth Day/Arbor Day Celebration 2025! The celebration is scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the City’s Central Park Pavilion. This non-profit event provides local students an exciting day filled with music, activities, performances, exhibitor booths, and information on how to preserve the earth’s natural resources with everyday actions. We are looking for organizations like yours to participate in the event as booth exhibitors. The celebration is geared towards students between the ages of 6 and 10, but all ages are welcome to attend"
Authority staff will coordinate the pick up and drop off of booth materials with outreach volunteers before and after the event. The City of Santa Clara will be providing tables (and likely a pop-up tent). We will only need to bring our kit (in large tub) plus a wagon.
We are requesting three volunteers so that volunteers can relieve their team-mates during this longer shift.
Parking for exhibitors will be located at Central Park Parking Lot. The exhibitor parking area is limited and carpooling is recommended. There are other parking lots located throughout the park but will result in a farther walk. More details will be sent as we get them.
