Help us engage our communities at Women's Heritage Day at History Park in San José'!
The event runs from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday March 22- the shift is expanded to account for set-up and take down times. Here is the event description:
'We're celebrating on Saturday, March 22nd with our third annual Women's Heritage Day Event! This year, Mosaic America will be hosting diverse cultural performances and workshops in front of the Pacific Hotel. The Empire Firehouse will feature local authors and book talks. The Woman-owned lowrider show organized by La Raza will return! History San José will be offering interactive craft stations that highlight local historical figures, with our historic buildings and indoor exhibitions open to the public. PLUS a variety of fantastic outdoor vendors and community organization booths will be available throughout History Park! Delicious drinks and treats will be available for purchase at O'Brien's, through woman-owned business Pennylane Sweets & Treats. Don't miss this festive, family-friendly community gathering as we honor the achievements and contributions of women throughout Santa Clara Valley's history!'
Details regarding set-up, take-down, parking and the transport of materials will be communicated as we get more details about the event and will be updated on this page. Please note that our booth will include a table, chairs, booth kit, and canopy with weights (plus wagon). We may opt to not have a canopy if volunteers choose a place under the shade for the event.
