Join the Open Space Authority as we join the City of Milpitas to welcome the Lunar New Year with a bang!
Friday, February 13, 2026, 6-8 PM
Milpitas Civic Center Plaza
457 E. Calaveras Blvd.
The Lunar New Year is truly a community celebration, with special performances by local groups, children's crafts, and delicious cultural treats. The festivities conclude with lion and dragon dances and a cacophony of firecrackers. Admission for the public is free and their will be food on site for purchase.
Volunteers will need to arrive on site between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. to work alongside our staff and ensure we are set up no later than 5:30 p.m. After the event ends we will break down and should be on our way out by 8:30 p.m.at the latest.
This is a great opportunity to share our spring wildflower programming and spring stewardship events with guests from in and around Milpitas.
