Habitat Protection Hikes at Máyyan ‘Ooyákma - Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve- Hike Sweeps Needed!
To help protect this sensitive and unique ecosystem, in March, April, and May the trails will be open by reservation ONLY on Saturdays and Sundays. During this time, the public must sign up here for a docent-led hike to access the Bay Checkerspot trail, the Tule Elk Trail, and the Serpentine Spring Trail. Please note that there are no guided hikes on March 21/28 because those days are designated as Open Access Days. If you are interested in helping on those days you may sign up for a patrol under the Preserve Stewards Patrol Opportunity.

Preserve Steward Sweep Role
With preserve stewards as occasional sweeps, we can offer many more docent led programs because our numbers will stretch farther. If there is an emergency or if someone needs to leave a hike early on the weekend, you can help us take care of that.
