
We seek two fantastic outreach ambassadors for Santa Clara Senior Center's "Be Strong, Live Long Health and Wellness Fair!" This annual event is always a hit with volunteers and visitors alike and is one of many opportunities we have to connect with our partners at the Santa Clara Senior Center.
This fair is centered around healthy habits and resources for older adults and their families. We are seeking two volunteers who can bring a booth kit as well as facilitate friendly conversations with our neighbors in Santa Clara.
Here is the advertised schedule for the event from the organizers:
Exhibitor Check-in from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Back parking lot, entrance on Harrison Street for exhibitor parking. First Come, First Served.
• 15 regular and 4 disabled spots. When this lot is full, there is street parking.
• No exhibitor parking in the front parking lot on the Fremont Street side.
Exhibitor Check In: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Start at the Info Booth by the Senior Center sliding doors.
• Each group receives a program and two boxed lunch tickets to use at the
Snack Bar after the food arrives at 11am. We will also be selling boxes
to the public until supplies run out, so please get yours early. Boxed lunch is Panera Bread’s “Half and Half” - half turkey/cheddar sandwich with a Greek side salad or a Mediterranean Greens with Grains salad, water bottle, and a chocolate chip cookie.
• Tables are assigned by area (patio, lobby, upstairs rooms, and hallways). Organization name is on the table.
• Please return your event evaluation form to the Front Desk.
Restrooms:
By the multi-purpose room near the front entrance, and at the end of the hall past the gym, and upstairs.
Exhibitor Check Out:
• Evaluation forms go to the Front Desk.
• For patio groups, there is a back door that exits (only) to the back parking lot.
• Please do not leave before 3pm. Some attendees can only come later in
the event and it’s a bummer to see empty tables.
