Paul will be leading a Tarantula Trek on Sept. 20 and we'd love your help. Please bring your reflective vest, layers, red-light and good shoes for this short walk on the Longwall Trail. Please arrive by 4:00 p.m. to help greet attendees. The walk will begin at 4:30 p.m.

Join Open Space Authority docents for a slow, gently paced 2-mile walk along Rancho Cañada del Oro's flat Longwall Canyon Trail in search of the elusive California ebony tarantula (Aphonopelma eutylenum). Learn about the tarantula’s amazing lifestyle and how these fascinating animals survive in the wild. Families welcome! Please bring water to drink and comfortable walking shoes.
