The Luna Chalk Art Festival is a celebration of colorful art, music, food, vendors and community!
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday September 19. We are seeking two (2) amazing volunteers to help support our engagement at this event alonside OSA staff member. There is an early and a late volunteer shift. The early volunteer shift is 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The late volunteer shift is 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Luna Park Chalk Art Festival is located at Backesto Park at the intersection of N. 13th and Empire St. in San José, CA. Parking is available on a first come, first serve basis around the perimeter of the park along Empire, Jackson and N 15th St. Taking public transportation is highly encouraged (VTA stop along 10th Ave. & Empire which is 3 blocks away.)
During this free event attendees can observe the over 100 chalk murals or create their own. They welcome chalk artists of all ages and abilities. We look forward to having your help to celebrate our communities!
