The annual Perseids Meteor Shower is happening again on Saturday August 12th at Laguna Seca 7:00pm - midnight!
This viewing party will go from 8:00pm - midnight. We are looking for 12 volunteers to arrive at 7:00pm to help set up red lights, direct incoming cars, and check in guests as they arrive. At 9:00pm the gates close and we can spend the rest of the night enjoying the meteors.
We will also be meeting at Laguna Seca the day before (Friday August 11th) for a walk through of the event. This walk through is not required to volunteer but highly recommended so you're ready for the event. In 2021 we had 80 cars join us!
Where: Laguna Seca - North Coyote Valley Conservation Area. For Google Maps directions please CLICK HERE or paste these coordinates into your navigation system of choice: 37.210598, -121.747240
If this is your first time coming to Laguna Seca, plan to arrive a little early, it can be very easy to miss the gate!
What to bring: For this event, please bring a flashlight with a red-light option, a high-vis vest, warm layers, plenty of food and water, a camp chair, and comfortable hiking shoes.
