On Saturday September 23rd, we will be partnering with the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) to host a bike ride starting at Laguna Seca and through Coyote Valley!
We are looking for 6 Preserve Steward volunteers to hand out water at hydration stations from 8:00am – 12:00pm at Laguna Seca, Spreckels Hill, and Coyote Valley OSP. We will be meeting Laguna Seca at 8:00am and then dispersing from there. Biking is not required to volunteer for this event, just smiling, handing out water, and cheering on the cyclist!
About the event: The goal of the event is to provide community members the opportunity to experience the protected areas Coyote Valley on a group ride - engaging new people and past event participants alike. Cyclist will follow propose this 17.3 mile route that would start at Laguna Seca and stop a various places that we would pass including Spreckles, Coyote Valley OSP, Coyote Creek and the Ogier Ponds, back north along Coyote Creek, and up to Coyote Ridge OSP for a view of the Valley before returning to Laguna Seca. What to bring: Please bring comfortable walking shoes, a camp chair, a high-vis-vest, sun protection, and plenty of water and snacks for yourself
