Oct. 28 Land Stewards at Furtado: Seed Planting!

Expired

Description

Furtado Barn is a beautiful riparian site with lots of potential for restoration. This October we will be coming back to Furtado to get some fall planting done! Staff and volunteers will be planting native bunchgrass and wildflower seeds within the restoration areas to bolster populations of native plants.   Please note that terrain may be steep or slick in this area and that unusual hot  or wet weather may cancel the work day.

We will provide clean gloves, tools, and project-related supplies as well as training for the day. A portojohn will be on site for anyone who needs it.

Youth 14-17 are welcome to join us with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

Please note that we need all volunteers to arrive on time to the Sierra Vista staging area (8:30 a.m.) so that we can carpool in Authority vehicles down to the work area.
