We are looking for one or two sweeps to help with a Bird Walk at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve on Friday January 5th from 8:30am – 11:00am!
As a sweep you will stay in the back of the group of hikers helping to answer any questions and keeping the group together. The actual program will be from 9:00am – 11:00am, but you will arrive at 8:30am to check in with the docent leader, Rick, and greet guests as they arrive.
What to bring: Please bring comfortable, water-resistant hiking shoes, warm layers, plenty of snacks and water, and of course wear your volunteer shirt.
About the event: Celebrate national bird day with us with a bird walk at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve! Winter is a time of migration for many bird species which means there many be some unique sightings instore. Birders of all skill levels are welcome.
