We are looking for one or two sweeps to help with a guided hike in celebration of Leap Year at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve on Thursday Feb 29th from 8:30am – 12:30pm!
As a sweep you will stay in the back of the group of hikers helping to answer any questions and keeping the group together. The actual program will be from 9:00am – 12:30pm, but you will arrive at 8:30am to check in with the docent leader, John Harshman and greet guests as they arrive. This hike will start in the overflow parking lot.
What to bring: Please bring comfortable, water-resistant hiking shoes, warm layers, plenty of snacks and water, and of course wear your volunteer shirt.
About the event: Celebrate Leap Year with a guided hike at the Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve!
