We are looking for one docent to lead a private guided hike for Commitee for Green Foothills at Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve on Saturday April 27th from 9:00am – 1:00pm! This group doesn't need a formal program but would like a docent there to walk the trail with them and help answer any questions they have about the plants and animals there.
As a docent you will lead this hike and help all guests learn a little more about this preserve and the plants and animals that live here. The actual program will go from 10:00am to 12:00pm-ish, we put some buffer time in there because this group likes to take their time. You will arrive at 9:00am to check in with the sweeps and greet guests as they arrive. If you have questions email Teri Rogoway at trogoway@gmail.com
This hike will be about 4 miles around the Arrowhead Loop Trail which has both up hill and downhill sections with the highest point at 800ft elevation. There are some challenging sections but overall, it’s a very enjoyable hike.
What to bring: Please bring comfortable hiking shoes, warm layers, plenty of snacks and water, and of course wear your volunteer shirt.
