We are looking for 2 sweeps to help with a Nature Journaling program at Máyyan 'Ooyákma – Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve on Friday, June 14th from 3:30pm - 6:00pm.
As a sweep you will assist the Kat Hill who will be leading the program, help keep the group together, answer questions, and distribute and collect materials.
The actual event starts at 4:30 p.m. please arrive by 4:15 p.m. to check in with Kat and early guests.
About the Event: Join Open Space Authority staff and volunteers to witness the beauty of transition at Máyyan 'Ooyákma – Coyote Ridge. We will be hosting a nature journaling session to document the changes that this season brings as well as learn about some fascinating residents of the ridge! We will be providing small notebooks, pencils, coloring pencils, and binoculars for this venture. If you have supplies of your own that you feel more comfortable with, please bring them! This program will encompass exploration around our staging area and we may go up to the Serpentine Spring (.7 miles round trip) or down to the nearby creek to see wildlife.
What to Bring: Please wear your volunteer shirt, comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, a camp chair and plenty of water and a snack to eat during the program.
Where to Go: Máyyan 'Ooyákma – Coyote Ridge Open Space Preserve: 9611 Malech Rd, Morgan Hill, CA 95037. For this program you can park in the main parking lot.
